There are a great many problems we face that have absolutely nothing to do with partisan politics.  For example, we have had the capability, for a very long time now, to have our entire country operating on clean, renewable energy sources.  But we don't because people with wealth and power don't want that.  Having more sensible forms of energy in place is not a republican issue, or a democratic issue.  It's a common sense issue that we can all agree on.  It's a sensible thing for all of us to do.  The only reason it never happens is because we all get conned into believing our political process is primarily about which party controls Congress, not about picking people that will actually attend to the best interests of this country and the American people.

The primary goal of this organization is to present a view of our world, and the problems we face on the basis of common sense and to discourage the conditioned tendency to turn every important issue into nothing more than another political football used to get politicians elected.  We believe it's high time we just admit that our government is not representative and is currently made up of primarily people that those in control tell us we get to choose from.  We believe that what's needed now isn't a shift in political party control, but rather a shift in our willingness to participate in a process that has been purposely designed to prevent us from electing people that actually represent us.  What's needed now is a major wake up call that the election process we willingly participate in is scientifically designed to ensure nothing of substance ever changes so those in control will remain in control.  Plan and simple, what's needed now is we must stop being played for fools.

Our Congress is the only institution empowered to protect us from the inevitable abuse of power by the wealthiest members of society.  That's why we form governments to begin with!  We hire people to attend to our interests because we don't have the time to.  We entrust that duty to the people we elect.  It's not rocket science. When we see things happen like laws being passed to allow credit card companies to change your interest rate to whatever they want, whenever they want, to charge you a default rate to over 30% if you're late on one payment; that law was passed without any consideration of our best interests.  When we see legislation being passed that literally guts the Constitution and Bill of Rights, it shows an absolute disregard for the oath our representatives take to defend the Constitution.   The bulk of laws being passed by our government do little more than make legal the crimes of the those with the most wealth and power.  It's a never ending flow of laws and treaties that only benefit those at the top of the heap at the expense of everyone else.

Our mission is to demand the Politics of Common Sense should be the final stage and angle of consideration used by every elected representative before allowing any legislation that affects us all to be passed.   The days of allowing the millions of dollars that corporations routinely exchange for access to the political and legislative process needs to come to an end or common sense and our best interests will never stand a chance of being part of the process.  If we don't demand our representatives evaluate our best interests as the final consideration before any policies or laws are passed, then we don't deserve anything better than what we are getting.
